engine stutters at low rpm
hello all,
lately i noticed when i start my car (it starts on the blink of an eye) when i pull off on low rpm it stutters a bit, not a clutch problem, i think it's the engine, when it's warm or when i rev harder i notice nothing, and it pulls strong in every gear. the problem occurs when i pull off in 1st or in second after let's say a speed bump, so low speed and low rpms...also does seem to idle unquiet when cold... any ideas? the car is a classic my95 with a few engine mods : zero sports turbo back decat newage coilpack conversion hdi fmic 440's pipercross induction newage mapsensor new vacuumline set oil cooler recently new fuel filter esl mapped by paul blamire hope this helps to findingthe problem thanks guys! |
nobody with about be same problem atm, or in the past.....?

I get similar on my 2005 Blobeye STI. It's only for the first minute or so after starting up, so I think nothing of it! It's the speedbumps out of my estate which get me, just apply a light bit of throttle in 1st or 2nd and it judders slightly. It's gone by the time I get out of a 30 zone.

seems the same thing, but it does bother me, i track it often so don't want a seemingly small problem turning into big failure at some time....i just want it fixed for my own piece of mind...
thanks for the info :) |
Maybe have a word with your mapper? I'm pretty sure mine wasn't doing it before it was decatted and mapped - but it's really slight/minor when it does happen.
