vf 34 swap for td05 20g
Could i swap my shot vf 34 on my 98 type r for a td 05 20g would mapping be required or can bolt and go?
Car has standard hp atm forged internals and exhaust. |
Straight fit but will require a map again.
|
cool Ive been told 16g or 18g wont need mapping .
|
I suggest you map the vf34 it will spool better and make more power, and whoever told you it won't need mapping needs a slap.;)
|
Map map map m8 it's best to be on the safe side
|
You CAN'T fit a different turbo without getting her mapped mate,, will defo need mapping....
|
Fair enough chaps what turbo would be best for 400-450hp ?
|
SC42 or SC46, or a MD321 .... not cheap though to get something that gives power along with spool.
Dont chase numbers bud, spool and drivability is loads more important in the real world. A usable 350bhp will put a much bigger smile on your face than a strung out 450bhp. |

Blouch 1.5XTR Single scroll with would easily get you you around 450bhp. The good thing about is that you will get it much cheaper than the SC 42 etc
Blouch makes scoobyclinic turbos =D |

That doesnt mean they're the same though does it! :nono:
SC use 7cm^2 housing where blouch use 8cm^2 and 10cm^2 (extra charge for this). Cheers |
