Steve's a brave man to allow someone else to drive his car....
I'm all for pushing it myself, but sat in mine with a pal driving made me really twitchy !

LOL

P.S. Might have to do a practice run next weekend for the BTCC !

It's a right nasty slippery little f'ker that track, My mate had his impreza on there about 5 years back and slid off and scuffed the front corner/bumper and he wasn't going fast either :lol1:

I trust the build of the car and I have no problem with Paul driving it similar to Steven driving it. He finished 7th fastest on the day and reckons if the car had decent coilovers instead of the cheap stuff he could of saved an extra 2 seconds on the lap but I think I would of been the same :D

Cool, let me know where and when to meet :thumb:

Tickle trout might be best for both of us, or Charnock Richard services?

The surface of rally track at Oulton has a special low grip surface ( glass beads in tarmac IIRC ) so that it can function as a low speed handling circuit. I've been on there several times and is good fun once you get used to it.
Personally I've only driven rear wheel drive on there though, but I have had a run around in some 4WD stuff, including an RS200 with 700 bhp which was 'interesting ' :D

Last time I went, there were tyres on most of the corners to stop any 'cuts' so keep away from those. Also the circuit organisers have a habit of watering the track to cut down on tyre noise and this makes the track very slippy !

The Pink Ninja 11 June 2013 01:50 PM

Yep it does have glass infused into it and I have seen them watering it like a football pitch with a tractor :lol1:

No problem Rob, Either is good for me :thumb:

banny sti 11 June 2013 01:57 PM

Might pop down if the weather is decent

Rob Day 12 June 2013 12:03 PM

Gaz/Dave I'll meet you there, I'm picking a car up from Stockport on my way down Saturday morning ;)

Rob

The Pink Ninja 12 June 2013 12:40 PM
