I'm starting to get scratches at the top of my OSF window. They're in one spot about 6 inches back from the front of the door.
I seem to recall a previous thread that said there are felt guide-pads in the door to support the window and that these collect fine dirt that scratches the glass as it's lowered. Any tips or advice on how easy it is to change these pads (if that's the cause) and if anything else needs doing at the same time? Also, how can I get the scratches out of the glass? Cheers, Steve UK98 |
the thread you're talking about suggested using "Jewellers Rouge" to get the scratches out....you can get it from most smaller jewellers apparently.
Anybody actually tried this yet ?? Steve |
I tried the jewellers rouge you mention. Probably okay for early stage scratches but, though they are better, mine still show. Thanks for the info on the felt pads, I will check them too, maybe add the rouge to them!!

tomrae - wouldn't the rouge on the pads cause a 'streak' all the way up the window though, or is it a really fine kind of polish?
