v1 sti,6 speed,86km,coilovers,whiteline ect

its been my brvs weekend toy during the summer last year and has been off the road and under a cover (to keep the salt off it)hes now decided to sell it. if we dont get a offer very near the asking we'll have to break it :( which would be a shame as its much cleaner that my 97 uk turbo and only has 86,000km (with import papers to prove) heres a rough list of mods ,a couple of pics and a link to gumtree (with the contact number)

6 speed
exedy clutch
autobahn fmic
apexi ,commander and boost controller
wrapped (slip jointed) headers 4 bolt upipe
tein coilovers
whitline droplinks, rear roll bar and bump steer kit
17" rotas
refurbed 4 pots(stainless pistons) kevlar pads
3"decat
2011 front seats
The engine sounds sweet and was remaped (by clive attowe )currently running a safe 350 /330
It was imported in 2007 so not got a spot of rust anywhere (on the paintwork/arches)
could include the orignal preface ally bonnet, lights and sti "I" badged grill

That's a reasonable figure as I got 346/343 on my old WRX with Link ECU plus supporting mods...
Any graphs to verify would be good?
All the best :thumb:

it is a genuine v1 sti :)all of which started of as wrx's that were taken off the production line and modified by sti (given new cams and a blueprinted hand built forged engine) so therefore stronger than the wrx cdb's;) i think from v2 they came straight off the production line as sti's
saying that there nowhere near as strong as the newage sti's obviously as they were built nearly 20 yrs ago
clive attowe (the mapper) said it was a good sound engine that had more to give and it did peak at 367 hp during the rr session, but due to the (lateral flow matched) 440,s running on standard pressure hitting 95% indutity he wound it back down to insure safe performance (to 347.9 hp on the graph below)
to be quite honest if i was'nt in the middle of a forged self build:) id have kept it myself, as iv not seen a v1 sti with lower mileage than this for sale

What number is it on the plaque? Cheers

When would you be breaking it if you don't get your offers

worbs 19 May 2013 07:42 AM

Can vouch for this car and Clive and his brother, two of the nicest guys you could meet, and as honest as they come. The car Is spot on, absolutely beautiful, these V1 sti's are becoming rarer and rarer and are a very underestimated piece of subaru history.

what are you after :lol1:

as for breaking i appreacate your interest fella but,we've not set a date and i won't be turning the car for sale thread into a pre order (first dibs) part list im affraid .however if we have to break it in the end, i'll stick a link to the "break thread" at the bottom of this thread when (and if) we do bud;)

another bit of mapping info i dug out last night was that the figures on the graph above were achieved with only 1.2 bar of boost ,which proves she's got more to give

as for build number quite a early one 019/100

Thought id bump this and see if we can save this clean classic from being broke:(
I know nice blobs can be bought for this sort of money but, in a few years they'll probably be worth less money
imo (although probably a bit biased as I love the rawness of a classic) clean classics will be worth the same , if not a bit more due to them being thinner on the ground .
