https://www.scoobynet.com/wales-26/9...car-rally.html

Date: 15 September 2013 Times: Starts at 10:30 am
Car Information: Among the vehicles on display this year will be cars ranging from Ford model Ts from the early 1900's to American Cadillacs from the 1980's and sports cars such as Stags, Morgans, Jaguar, MGs and many others. There will also be many vintage and classic motor cycles, commercial vehicles, tractors, stationary engines and military vehicles A full range of arena activities is planned, including, a parade of vehicles, and a vintage and classic car auction run by Newport Auctions, who will be donating all their fees and commissions to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

See http://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org...list-car-rally.

Event Description: It is over 30 years since the first Vintage and Specialist Car Rally was held at Tredegar House in Newport. This year, event organisers are again expecting over 1500 entries and are anticipating up to 10,000 visitors to the show. However it is not just a show for car lovers, this is a real family event. The show will include a craft marquee, children's rides and amusements and a wide range of stalls, autojumble, and trade stands. Visitors will also be able to enjoy Living History Displays ranging from the English Civil War, the American Civil War, WW1, WW2, The Gulf War right through to the 1990s, with the chance to see how these soldiers and their families lived.

Location: Tredegar House, Newport, South Wales.
Postcode: NP10 8YW

I now have the entry form for the 33rd Vintage and Specialist Car Rally. This is very poignant with the loss to the Scooby Community of Kev (Robo Cop).

There are a number of options so read carefully.

Option 1. Camping up to 3 nights = £10
Option 2. Camping on Saturday only = £5
Option 3. Classic Car Run on the Saturday 14th = £25 (130 mile trip around the Welsh roads with many of the exhibits).
Option 4. Club Stand 15th = Free Entry (additional adult passenger are £7).

Options 1 to 3 are not on my radar but I will organise the club stand. To gain free entry I have to submit our list of entrant by 17th June 2013.

Show your support to a very worthy cause.

If nobody has been to this event before, its on par to japfest in level of attendance by the public.

There is lots to do and see for a whole day for the family if you wanted to bring the kids.

Just bring a cheque book as loads of classic old cars usually go on sale.

Ian, any word on what time the Saturday drive is starting? Assuming that any cars can enter that is.

I'd love to go but I fear I may well be in work, if it's late enough I can blag leaving work early.

Also anyone else interested in attending the drive?

prodriverules 13 May 2013 11:12 PM

Count me in oldboy, not sure on passengers yet though. What time do you usually need to be down there and set up as the time will decide passenger numbers. I have trouble getting the wife up early for car shows you see!

The Trooper 1815 19 May 2013 07:21 PM

Public at 1030hrs mate.

Silver Scooby Sport 19 May 2013 09:20 PM

If the RA is not finished I may be able to bring a Land Rover if I can twist the owners arm :D

I am guessing we will need to be in before this then. What time do you normally get down there to set up?
