Stupid Question DV Delete ...
 

Hi Guys,

stupid question coming but ... if i want to run DV'less how do i achieve it? - ive got a forge on at the minute but what do i need once ive took the DV off?

Refit the standard recirc, is the answer your looking for I think. If you don't have it you can post in the wanted or msg of of the breakers. Sure someone can help you out.

Take it off...

Quality advice there, just take it off! And leave a hole on your inter cooler! Come on guys ffs!!

Really you need get a sheet of steel or alloy and either bolt it inbetween the Dv and the intercooler or bolt the plate on instead :)
What turbo are you running do you know?

Take it off and blank the pipes off.

You need to consider what turbo you are running before doing it, some turbos are more fragile than others and will break with no DV to release the pressure.

your turbo will die a very quick death if you are on the standard one, put the original on, its there for a reason

think steve has just summed it up - i only have a TD04 (WRX turbo) - looking at getting VF35 - (thanks for the drawing dan really appreciate that!!) - whats the best way to achieve the chatter sound - is that with an external wastegate + actuator?

You want the chatter sound .... is that the only reason?

Do you know what that chatter sound is and how much damage it can do to standard turbos? .... even the strongest and apparently most suitable for a DVless running will die prematurely from having inlet charge forced back through the spinning turbine. Stick to a standard or decent aftermarket recirc, it'll save you a chunky bill in the not so distant future!
