Subaru Impreza 555 STi 97 R Reg 12 Months MOT 71,000 I have owned this car for 3 years. Its done very limited mileage in my ownership I little over 2000. Shortly after I brought it the maffailed. Subaru wanted £400 odd for a replacement. So I decided to have a Simtek ECU fitted which removes the maf. There was also a Walbro fuel pump fitted at the same time. Costing in excess of £1100 inc fitting and mapping which raised the power up to 325BHP at 1 Bar safe. ( Dyno Print to back this up ) Its had many other subtle mods but nothing over the top. Its not long had a full set of BridgestonePotenza RE050s Fitted they still have 7mm of tread. The Mileage was still in Kilometres when I bought it I have converted it properly. This can be backed up by previous service and mots. When I brought the car there was some lacquer peeling on the roof and roof vent . Also some pin dents around the car so I hada full respray done. This was in no way to hide anything as this is a very solid car with original arches which you can clearly still see the spot welds. The STi Badges and were removed for the paintwork and have not been refittedbut they are all present . There was a chip in the drivers vision of the screen. So a new screen has just gone in there as well. It has two keys andfobs with a Cat 1 Toad Alarm. Its Had a CG Paddle clutch fitted just before Ibought it and coil overs, but they were too stiff for road use so I changed they for Impreza P1 shocks and Apex Springs. Also as I’m a bit particular I hadthe brake discs drilled and then cut to the car using the pro cut brake disc lathe. The Cam belt has been replaced before I had it but its probably due another change. It still has the original flare and impreza floor mats with additional Subaru rubber over mats in the front. Also a new Graham Goode Stainless up-pipe has been fitted with new gaskets as the flexi had gone on the original. This one isa solid tube tyrpe ( No Flexi ) Its wanted for nothing really and has alwaysbeen ran on Optimax fuel and Fuchs 15-50Pro Ester Oils. Its spent most of its life in the other side of my workshop ( So dry Stored ). I’m just not getting round to using it and I also have a GTIR. One of them must go, and as there are no descent Pulsars left ive decided to keep that instead. Bad Bits Not many but a few. The tint on the rear screen has blistered and needs re- tinting. There is a vibration / rattle on the exhaust. When it went for mapping the next day after getting it back it would start a little erratic. I contacted Area 52 in Nottingham were it was mapped and they said it needed a bit more fuelling on the start up map, but as this goes within seconds of it starting up I never got round to taking it back and it was never a big problem for me. There’s probably loads that I have missed out but it has a folder of history and receipts for you to look through.
