HAS ANY ONE CHANGED A XENON BALLAST UNIT BEFORE?

As per the title above, has anyone ever changed the xenon ballast unit on their headlight before? I have a hawk sti with a blown ballast. I can source the OEM part, just not sure how to change it......

Any help would be much appreciated......

I replied to this, I thought, in the other thread?
Basically, the ballast MAY be screwed/bolted down, and will need to be released.
It then ought to be simply a case of undoing the two connectors to the ballast, removing it, replacing with the new one, and refastening in place.

There is no way you can get the two connectors mixed up.

DO be careful with the ballast output: don't touch the bare ends inside the connector that goes to the bulb, it may still have enough charge stored to give you a nasty shock.

many thanks for your reply! i heard about them still retaining charge for a short period of time. To be safe i think i am best removing the light then working on it a couple of hours later. Is the ballast attached to the light assembly, or elsewhere in the engine bay?

In fact scrap the previous request. After much digging, I found the below video. Its actually for painting the inside of the light but it covers what I need....
