Panasonic PC/TV idea would it work ?.
Here we go, Panasonic make the screen ( someone makes the speakers built in or separate ) Intel make the hardware to make the tv switch on etc and Microsoft or Apple make the software so you have a start menu like Windows has. With connections for Intel's IPTV system.

Really? So there's a Panasonic TV with built operating system designed by apple?
If so tell me where ill buy one. |
They aren't made by Panasonic with Apple operating system. You can get what is called an all in one system on Ebay, made by Apple and the like with a tv tuner inside.Compaq made something like this 20 odd years ago.

No current Apple equipment I'm aware of has a TV tuner inside it.
There was a Performa 5300 by Apple which did have a TV tuner. I speak from fact as I had one on the desk behind me at work, and it was where I recall watching what I thought to be a movie, but was in fact the WTC coming down, so this was 2001, so VERY old hardware now. If it's modern equipment and Apple is anywhere near it, then it's probably a TV with an Apple TV strapped to the back of it. There are rumours of Apple getting into the TV business, certainly talk at the earnings call the other day about new product categories, so that is NOT iPhone / iPad / Computer, something new, maybe a proper TV Sounds like you'd want a micro pc with a video / cable tuner, plugged into a big monitor (no need for the full on TV stuff if the micro pc will handle that) running whatever OS you want on it. |
basically what markus said

Performa 5300 think this must have been the model we had in school circa '97, i recall watching Wimbledon > anna kournikova

All in one computers have been out for a long while but you didn't say that.
I would be pissed if I were watching loose women and the tv just restarted it self because windows needed to update |
