I ended up with this challenge....

I got a replacement fob from eBay, got a key cut from a locksmith and cut the plastic off to trim the metal and fitted it into the new key fob. I was then faced with reprogramming it, I had to buy the correct reprogrammable chip. The graphite one was removed and with some careful adjustment with a Dremel it fitted perfectly. Then back to the locksmith to reprogram and it was done :)

Sorry I missed prices...
£10 Fob
£40 for key (cutting and chip with reprogramming)
Reprogramming the button to your alarm system is free if you have your security code....

well I have the code plus another working key so re-programming should be ok, I have sourced a BLANK key and fob from Eb@y which comes with the chip included, Messaged him to ask if it will for with my model car, Nothing back yet... So
if I get the blank I will re-programme it, if it works get it cut.

Hopefully it will be fine

Just reprogrammed the code computer yesterday!

what a mess on

Cheers for the help there Speedyjanner! I can always go your rout if all else fails.

Where did you get the chip from as I am having trouble finding one?
Cheers

It was from the locksmith shop, they put the key in a scanner and identified the one I needed.
