Smoking scooby

Any help would be great, I have a 96 wrx import with all the bells and whistles,
It has a vf 23. Turbo, fmic, full decat chipped etc etc. I have had the car for six months and always been perfect but last week it started to cut out on tick over so presumed a vacuum leak so left and parked up until I had chance to look at it.
I went to the petrol station to put fuel in and upon starting it gave a blast of grey smoke and misfires upon getting it home aproxx 1 mile away it now smokes like a chimney and is misfiring like mad.
The is a little smoke coming from the actuator arm that connects to the turbo housing.
Everything else seems fine but without any tickover I can't find the vacuum leak but it would still rev before but now just getting coughs and splutters and lots of grey smoke that smells of fuel...
Any help would be great.
Cheers ja...

First thing to do is a compression test, have you lost any oil?
