What gains for MY99 uk turbo

Loving having my second classic and in process of improving and modding, just wondering what people think I will get power wise with the following mods:
TD05 16g turbo
Full decat or just middle section?
walbro/roger Clarke pump
K&N air filter although I might change this back to standard
remap by probably jolly green monster
Car is healthy with 89,000 fully serviced miles, new cambelt maf, plugs etc
hoping for 320bhp or am I hoping!
300?

also got some prodrive bilstein/eibach a coming:-)

cheers matt

You should make 320-330 with a 16G

Only thing to watch is the chinese copy 16g can be a real issue.. so its difficult to make sure its a genuine 16g... therefore tend to recommend a vf34/35 for that reason

Ah simon, what's a rough price guide for an ecutek remap on a 99 uk turbo with the above mods? And will I notice a big difference with/without the downpipe cat?

And I've been assured that the td05 is a genuine item, but you never know!

When would you expect the turbo to spool, for a vf35?

maff125 24 April 2013 12:51 PM

One of the reasons I'm going td05 is my old td04 ppp'd used to run out of puff higher in the rev range, does the td05 pull nicely to 7000rpm?

Jolly Green Monster 24 April 2013 01:10 PM

Vf35 3000-3200rpm full boost. Slightly later on dyno plot.

Td05 16g pulls to higher rpm yes

That's good, cheers

And I will be in touch in around a month simon, you mapped a friend of mines L reg wrx in Upton upon Severn, I'm in the same place:-)
