Defi Controller/Connector Wiring ??

Hi All

Wondering if anybody can help, basically the wires out of the connectors that plug into my defi controller have come out and in my attempt to try and put them back in more have come out. They are 4 or 5 years old so i'm going to solder them back in this time.

Just want to make sure all the colours etc. go back to where they should be. Anyone got a diagram or anything that will help? i roughly know, but would like to be sure.

or if not anybody able to take a pic of the back of controller with all the wires and connectors?

Thanks

What gauges you got fitted, Ive got a Boost, Oil temp, Oil Pressure and Fuel Pressure fitted in mine, Any use to you as I can get a pic up around 6ish when I'm back home mate.

thats perfect mate, exactly what i got plus water, but that goes direct to ecu.. thats what the problem was, these have been tapped into, to go direct to ecu, and since they have now come out, it set ecu trips off, had to disable em for time being.

My Defi water doesn't go to the ecu. It goes to a sender.

This any good? Page 6 for the Link controller.

I think he's got a syvecs fitted jeff so would imagine its wired direct to ecu and has a cut off safety feature if it starts to overheat rather than having the alarm go off on the defis, you can ignore alarms but its hard to ignore your car going into limp mode.

Just got in now so give me 10 mins and I'll have a pic up for you :)

eggy790 29 April 2013 12:03 PM

i'll have a look now, cheers, you dont know any uk defi spares do you?

eggy790 29 April 2013 04:19 PM

i think i may just have to get replacement cables from the states, not having much luck

alcazar 29 April 2013 04:59 PM

I would, the UK ones seem silly prices. There's a guy over in Scoobynet General having the same problem, check out that thread.

just to update you guys, and for future reference, i got the wires fixed, after spending days on it and killing my finger tips and it still not working.

i had a friend but some eyes on it and discovered its a lose connection on the metre pins on the circuit board of controller. ive done a temp fix of wrapping cable round so it has pressure on it and cable tying it behind dash outta way, so it is working and my ecu trips can come back on.

but just for fault finding later if anyone has any issues, it could be the controller and not just the wires.
