Sorting handling out.. What do I need?
I have a 2005 wide track blob sti..
Now engine is as far as I can get without going forged I am now concentrating on the handling.. I have recently fitted some BC coilovers and have a whiteline rear adjustable arb.. Just saving now for some Rear drop links Anti lift kit.. Is there anything else that I could do with? Cheers Ryan |
roll centre kit, front adjustable droplinks, rear heavy duty arb mounts
do it once to avoid another geo set up |

Hi there
Personally I would go down the route of the Roll centre/bump steer kit, solid droplinks, front ARB and good wheel alignment About the ALK,not sure,i wouldn't buy again ALK,you will gain more castor with rotating top mounts, some bushes will sort this out Here is lots of good thread about the upgrading the suspension and really worth the read And mainly depends on the for what car will be used and from this I would decide Jura |
For my 2005 blob mate...
Getting fast road set up on coilovers to help with under steer.. Car will mostly be used on road maybe couple track days a year |
this sorted mine
http://i890.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps276bfd18.jpg bc coilovers, whiteline adjustable arbs , braided brake hoses, anti lift kit, cdf racing droplinks and d2 8 pot brakes with ferodo ds2500 pads |

i havent been on the track yet, but they fell better as they are a bit larger so shouldnt fade. i will report back after a track day which should be in may at bedford autodrome |
Nice1!
Just got to save some cash now get it all on car bit by bit :) |
Here is good article about the ALK
http://www.whiteline.com.au/articles...WL%20ALK_b.pdf WhiteLine tested their ALK on WRX,which is known with worse handling than STi To help with understeer I would rather spend money on front ARB(if you have already rear ARB),solid doplinks,if yours car is lowered or will be very lowered invest money to roll centre/bump steer kit/mod and good wheel alignment, those things can transform car handling Jura |
Cheers mate will do :)

Steering rack bushes helps to 25 quid but worth it
I've got front 356mm ksport kit and over 100 m/h when braking hard i feel I'm loosing balance, Im thinking about 356 rear kit but main problem will be with spare wheel. |
Spare wheel has gone mate lol..
|
mine feels very well balanced under hard braking but i have rear brembos.
i still have the spare wheel, i dont know why though as it doesnt fit over my brakes now... |
