With some chopping and blending anything is possible but you may need to do a lot and also possibly change the exhaust

lgtuk 17 April 2013 05:55 PM

Oooo I like do you need to do any further modifications or is it a straight bolt on? Also I take it it comes not painted?

john1979 17 April 2013 10:01 PM

How does it fit around the exhaust??
Cheers

Yes its bolt on, comes in fibreglass ready to be primed and painted :)

It wont fit the standard exhaust you need an aftermarket one

When you say aftermarket do you mean a side exit style exhaust:wonder:

Hi Jon,

No you'll be able to still have a rear exit exhaust it just needs to be able to follow the lines of the diffuser, needs to fit between the 'fins'

It would be good to see one fitted with an exhaust. My TSL is a straight exit exhaust rather than angled, but it does have quite a hefty silencer. I'm assuming that you would still have to trim this for the exhaust to poke through as it won't sit above the exhaust without fouling the hangers:wonder:

CarBen Fibre Creations 16 May 2013 09:40 AM

Yeah you may need to do some trimming to get it perfect but this wouldnt been seen from the rear of the car. Its all about designing the product around what you need. We are also working on a Varis style rear diffuser which would sit in the centre and should work with nearly all exhausts, also later in the year im going to be designing a new diffuser to work with a custom side exit exhaust.

JonMc 16 May 2013 10:03 AM

The Varis one is my current preference, but I have some blob spats fitted to my bug bumper and am just trying to work out how this would look on there - not for this week, Tax, MOT and remap first:(

It wont be ready for at least 4 weeks mate and I can always bring one to a meet or show so you can test fit it if thats easier?

My car is currently off the road and is likely to be that way for a good few weeks. If you happen to be at the Uxbridge Autoshow in July we could look then:norty:

I'll let you know nearer the time, have a baby due end of June so might not be able to make many shows for a few months after its born :)
