Late night bluesy sax

If you don't like the Saxophone please press back button :)

But in my continuing search for soft bluesy sax I came across this and despite its funereal background has some wonderful soft sax. Definitely late night with glass of claret stuff.

Worth a listen if you have time.

David

A song called Lily Was Here by Dave Stewart and Candy Dulfer is pretty good.

Scrap Iron on Duke Pearson's "right touch" album is worth a listen if this is your thing.

I had a girlfriend years ago, who was really into jazz and blues. Many a saturday night into sunday morning was spent drinking red wine and listening to this kinda music.

From memory a few names worth a look if you haven't visited them already.

Hal Singer - blues in teh night album if you can find a copy
Red Holloway
Ezra Weiss sextet
Louis Jordan
Willie Jackson
