HELP !!
 

I write this thread in desperation and pray that someone can.:confused:

My brother and I have entered this years Scumrun Charity Rally and we have a massive problem.

We have a 1997/98 WRX Impreza, when we bought the car back in November the car didnt have a running engine. We bought a recon engine and paid a mechanic to fit it and it is now running. The problem is it sounds like crap and we're not sure if its a timing or mapping problem and the mechanic is stumped (not a subaru specialist. The company that reconditioned the engine put the timing belt and pullies on so we assume this is correct (possibly).

Here's the issue we leave to do a 3000 mile round trip for charity in 3 wks and we are yet to MOT, Tax and PAINT the car. But its running so bad we can't even think about these problems yet. We have so much at stake if the cars not running we wont be going :cry:

Please can anyone help we are really desperate

What exactly is t you want mate? Man hours and kit or money?

Man hours no kit needed we are so stumped and we have so much to do.

This is my 1st Scooby and I am clueless.

If there was someone local that had the same model and we could look under their bonnet just to check we've got everything plumbed in correctly would be a great help.

Here are some pics these should help you understand the monster task we have on our hands ! And we still have to do a 1000 miles running it in, all this MOT'd, Taxed and Insured by 2nd May.

wasnt there mention of a change of turbo ? or is there another thread.
