Going from PFC To Syvecs
Hi,
Has anyone gone from a PFC to Syvecs? Is the car nicer to drive? I am not too worried about making more power as I am on the standard gearbox but wondered if losing the MAF ect improved drivability? I have a V4 Type R, EJ257, 20g, 550cc, FMIC running with MAF. Cheers, Dave |
I didn't have a pfc but going from oe to syvecs maf less I find the car drives a hell of a lot smoother that might have a lot todo with the mapping I personally find it better, it's also nice to do away with the airmass as its one less thing to worry about

Sounds positive. Thanks.
Any one else? |
I went from a power fc to syvecs on my old car, the only thing worse was the starting on the syvecs requires a couple more cranks other than that it was smoother, more refined and fuel economy improved too

You could use a newage MAF in blowthrough position (after the FMIC) which worked very well on my 20g and PFC.
I have what you need available and it would be much cheaper than going syvecs, it will require a remap |
Isn't the extra cranking a feature to build oil pressure?
