Geo setup

After having my bc coil overs fitted I took the car to get setup ride height etc. I'm still not happy with it as it still has bags of understear - who's regarded as the best ? It's a blob eye by the way !

If you want it done right, avoid anywhere that quotes an hours labour!

Setting up coilovers from scratch isnt a quick job, theres alot of measurement and fettling!

Only guys i use are chevron at stafford. Simon there really knows his stuff.

Yeh it took 5 hours !

legacy_gtb 09 April 2013 04:41 PM

Might not be the geometry at all, what AR bars etc are you running? and any other bits like antilift or polybushes etc?

blackpoolrock 09 April 2013 04:42 PM

No nothing ! Just coil overs !!!!

legacy_gtb 09 April 2013 04:59 PM

Righto ... in that case im not really suprised!

How much have you had it dropped?

try upping the rear antiroll bar a bit, but leave the front standard ..... or as your on coiys now you can uprate them both (just change the balance of the car, you wan to do one more than the other, therefore up the rear more than the front.

Where did you take it to be done fella?

One word mate chevron Motorsport are the men for the job

They're based in stafford

legacy_gtb 09 April 2013 05:41 PM

Chevron definately are the best men for the job, but as youve just had the geo done (and im assuming that at 5hrs labour its not too far off) then at this stage you just need to get the right bits in there to support the coilovers.

21mm rear AR bar (assuming yours at present is a 19????) , that'll go straight in and wont effect your geos.

Then if still not happy, an antilift kit will make a massive improvement, but will need the geos looking at afterward! While the front lower arms are off for the antilift kit you might aswell polybush the front point too.

Then any other points you can polybush the better.

thats my £0.02 anyhoop.

Have you lowered the car significantly?

fawor 11 April 2013 09:33 AM
