Aint that the truth, and none have come close since, this country could do with a leader with balls of steel right now.

RA Dunk 08 April 2013 01:11 PM

As much as i detested the old boot she did have certain qualites (for example a fcuking spine) that our recent leaders of today seem to lack..

I'm not going to be breaking into fits of tears at her death though.

She is now!

ALi-B 08 April 2013 01:17 PM

The last strong leader this country has had and the strongest since Churchill. Had more balls than every man currently working in politics.

Like her or loathe her nobody can argue with that.

In light of the pathtetic politicians we have to endure nowadays on any party, her death saddens me, as there is no one who even remotely has any form of leadership quality. :(

RIP.

Amen to that Ali-B.... she had guts and determination - even when the whole country & even most in her own party was saying she couldn't succeed she saw it through.... this lady's not for turning...

A great STRONG leader, I think histroy will she her well in the end...

Matteeboy 08 April 2013 01:30 PM

RIP - a true patriot, didn't mess about, sorted out a lot of our countries woes.

The last decent PM IMO.

Torquemada 08 April 2013 01:32 PM

Yup, the media will milk this to death as they always do when it comes to an easy story. that's it no more watching the six o'clock news (or any other news for that matter) for the foreseeable future.

PeteBrant 08 April 2013 01:34 PM

I have mixed emotions:

On the one hand, She was someones Mother, and I am sorry for anyone that loses a parent.

But on the other hand
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hope you're enjoying the special space in Hell Satan reserved for you you ****ing bitch.

RA Dunk 08 April 2013 01:35 PM

I would imagine there will be many a party in the old coal mining villages around the UK tonight lol.

ReallyReallyGoodMeat 08 April 2013 01:37 PM

As someone who isn't quite old enough to remember the events of her tenure that lead some to have hated her, what (apart from closing a few mines) did she do? Genuine question.

richs2891 08 April 2013 01:38 PM

RIP

Richard

Main ones being:

Privatised public owned infrastrure/industries
Tackled then then ongoing issues with militant worker's/trade unions.

There's good and bad that came about doing the above, and a person's view would depend on who ended up with the sh*tty end of the stick (and there was a fair few).

tubbytommy 08 April 2013 01:54 PM

dont forget the poll tax, great decision that was wasnt it???

well it was if you were rich.....

oh and selling off all britains industry too.

as for tackling unions, they exist because of people like thatcher.
