morreti headlight issue

My passenger side bugeye morreti headlight and side light have stopped working but the indicator is still working. Bulbs are good and cant see any wiring problems. Any clues people?
Cheers. :-)

Check the actual wiring mate as it could be corroded or maybe even a relay

logger 07 April 2013 05:15 PM

I would say the relay, happend to mine. Didnt see the relay on the lights. Was in a terrible condition. But cheap to replace :)

stamina_daddy 07 April 2013 05:46 PM

Wheres the relay located? Cheers

If it's where it should be, it's fastened to the inside of the light unit itself, you cant really see/access it unless you remove the unit.

stamina_daddy 07 April 2013 07:20 PM

Ok,it is the bulbs, the headlight one looked ok but was gone. Changed that, but cant access the small side light one,the one poking down on the angle. Managed to get the wires off it but couldnt feel the bulb to pull it. Is it a light out jobby? Strange for both bulbs to go at once.

Oranges 08 April 2013 07:22 AM

To be honest, yes, unless you've got little girly sized hands ;) you're going to struggle, especially if it's the passenger side one due to the battery, might just be easier taking it out. It was for me!

Bean1984 08 April 2013 07:50 AM

Its a very easy job mate to remove the head lights

Grill off
10mm bolt in the corner of the light bulb unit
8mm bolt on the top of the unit

Light unit pops out mate for easier access

logger 08 April 2013 03:19 PM

Quick and simple to get the light out, good chance to check the wires aswell. Make sure everything is tickety boo :)

stamina_daddy 08 April 2013 06:15 PM

Hmm..I tried taking out last night. But seemed a lot of work. Perhaps went about it wrong.
I started taking the screws out of cover but couldn't get to one because of the bumper so I abandoned it. But will try again and just look for the 2 bolts.
It looks like dipped beam side is really wobbly as the black clips have broken.thajks for the heads up.

stamina_daddy 08 April 2013 06:17 PM

I did take the battery out yes.

JohnnyBlaze 08 April 2013 07:00 PM

Don't need to unscrew cover, un clip the grill two bolts per light behind there and one small one on top, 2min job

stamina_daddy 08 April 2013 07:17 PM

Cheers, ill take a look tomorrow. Thanks.
Just another quick one, what bulb do i need?

JohnnyBlaze 08 April 2013 07:21 PM

Double check but sure it's H7 headlight and just a standard sidelight bulb, I've got led ones of eBay which are pretty good for little money, as for headlight you get what you pay for.

stamina_daddy 08 April 2013 07:26 PM

Yeah i know the h7 one, bought a crap set off ebay and yes there crap. Will look for led though. Cheers. :-)

JohnnyBlaze 08 April 2013 07:34 PM

Led sidelights I mean, got a decent set of h7 from Waterloo for £20 a couple of weeks ago, Lucas blue lightning I think, ok up to now for the price
