Water Spray

Simple & probably a stupid question but whats the water spray for that i see some scoobys advertised with? Im pretty sure my WRX PPP never had one. Is it something you operate manually etc?

You can spray water onto the intercooler and as it evaporates it cools and increases the efficiency of the intercooler...

Cooler intercooler = cooler air into engine = increased air density = more air / fuel = more power and less det :)

STi fixture only from factory, some manual and some automatic / manual override.

Ah right, so basically you give it a squirt if youve been giving it the beans.

normally the most if not only effective when pulling away from standstill.

Traffic lights, sitting in traffics etc...

The jdm models have auto spray but users have mentioned that it emptys out quite often.

Had my sti for 2 years now probably used it 3/4 times as i dont launch alot.

remember to use de-ionised water to avoid limescale build up.

Warning light comes on the dash when water is low , so doubt its out of water. Check the pipes from engine bay to bonnet , they dangle about a bit and may have came loose.

Haha yeah got water, i just need a day where its warm. Then i'll go and check my pipes :) haha
