Tall driver
I only started to look at Impreza wagons (hawkeyes) very recently and I went to see a real one on Thursday. This was a ratty 1500, which (if it hadn't been clocked) was the filthiest twenty-something K-miles car I've ever seen. However, it did allow me to try the driving position.
Frankly, at 6'4", I found it cramped - even with the seat fully down and back and the steering wheel up. Quite simply, how easy is it to move the front seats back - preferably in a non-destructive way so that I could revert to original. Alternatively, are there other seats I could fit to the existing mounts, which might allow me to sit further back with straighter legs? Thanks, |
i've had 6 impreza's - 4 classics and 2 blobeye's - one an estate and never had a problem - i'm just over 6'5"

I`m 6ft and have to have the seat fully back, so I can imagine that it`s hard for long legs; short legs and long body, Stevo?

Buddy club rails lower the seats if that helps

I'm 6'1" and I don't have the seat all the way back. I even have the seat bolt up right.
Saying that, I own a classic so not sure about the newages. |
I'm 6'3" and have the seat all the way back but have never felt cramped. I have also had two fiestas in the past so space shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks Guys.
It's not a case of it might be cramped or it should be OK, I have long legs and it is cramped - period. What are these "Buddy Club rails"? Lowering would help a little but mounting further back (as well) would be better still. It's OK, the only thing going behind me will be the dog :) |
im a shade under 6'9 and i feel like a sardine in any car i buy :thumb:

6'5 here, had 2 classics no probs
