Hi July 2012 I brought my first 1.6 impreza weren't to keen on the body kit but mechanically it was sound it had done 64k Attachment 68841[/IMG] Attachment 68842[/IMG]
I kept it as it was for a couple off months then decided the body kit and rear lights had to go... I first purchased a set off aftermarket lights wich looked like the standard onesAttachment 68843[/IMG] A couple of weeks later I got hold off a uk 300 bumper and a set of silver side skirts Attachment 68844[/IMG] Off to the body shop it went and came out looking like thisAttachment 68845[/IMG] Now I was happy with the finish I decided to plan the turbo conversion then this happened only 4 weeks out the body shop :-( my partner hit a bit off black ice and ploughed it into the back of a mondeo st Attachment 68846[/IMG] I decided that it was time to convert it into a blobeye I brought a complete front end, mirrors and for £20 I brought a titanium strut brace bargain :-). So over Christmas I spent my time building it back up.....[/IMG].Attachment 68847[/IMG] It stayed like this till a couple off weeks ago when I decided to vinyl wrap it and get rid off the rear spoiler and have a gloss black boot, Im goin to spray the door handles, and prep the back bumper as its cracked all over then wrap that too enjoy :-) Attachment 68848[/IMG] . total change and looks good
Good effort, liked the blue front end.
The front bumper is not mating up quite right, is that possible to achieve with a bit more adjustment? I ask cos I may have to buy a bug and do the blob conversion too. |
Yeah there some fine adjusting still need to be done but as it was in a crash I don't think il never get it perfect, but was very easy to do the only problem I had was wiring up the headlights everything else just bolted straight on, I was goin to go in more detail of the conversion but there's plenty of them on here
Cool, i figured as you say the impact may have played a part. Cheers for the info.
This is only a1.6 . Wow looks amazing . How are you finding it getting after market parts ? What turbo kit you you planning or is a engine swap spanned ?
Top man :)
eBay for after market parts and I'm hoping to put a sti lump in with some extras ;-) I'm aiming for 400bhp but we will see how far the penny's will stretch
Is it literally bolt on? And what parts are required for the change? (Silly questions but that look pretty cool.
Front wings, bonnet, bumper and support, headlights and slam panel... If the slam panel is fitted correctly all the parts will just bolt straight into the original fixings there plenty off threads on here to show you how to do the conversion in great detail

Great cheers mate.
