Bugeye rebuild

As of August last year i had my bugeye sti crashed into by some little muppet that still wont admit that its his fault, but anyways the insurance wrote it off and cat c it.

I then bought the car back and have now purchased another bugeye shell that is now gonna be the basis for my project where i am looking to facelift it to a hawkeye with a wrc kit on it and then fully forge the engine with either a 2.1 or 2.3 stroker kit and go for a rotated turbo set up.

My mate has built me a decent size unit on his farm in the middle of know where to do this so i have no time scale for this and cause of that there is no real budget, if i want something i will save and buy it and it will be complete when its complete.

If anyone has done any of the bits that i am looking to do then your advise would be great to help me along the way suppliers etc.

this is what she did look like:

this is after the crash:

It had damaged the floor pan and also snapped the hub in half, i have owned her for about 3 years and spent so much money on her i couldnt just let her go so that is how this project is starting, here is the shell that it is all gonna happen to

Nice! Obviously before it was smashed. What exhaust is on it? I like the look of it!

Good luck with the build:thumb:

Gava 02 April 2013 10:33 PM

The back part you can see is a cobra racetube the rest of the system is just a 3inch turbo back with no boxes in it

Shame, was a nice looking car.

Best of luck with your build.
