Does anyone know if I can get a electronic FM aerial (to fit the standard location) on my MY00?

Thanks

Darms
I would say no to an electric aerial as the motor would have nowhere to sit in the pillar, usually on wing mounted aerials the motor sits under the arch.
I've just fitted a roof aerial (same as gti 16v) which is amplified for good reception an the mast unscrews if needed to go through car wash.
Be careful when drilling roof and use rust inhibitor on bare metal and plenty of clear silicon sealant to stop water getting in.

As does my MY98 WRX... Don't UK cars get an electric aerial?

my UK hasn't, just a naff job down the drivers side pillar like a proton.

Doesn't bother me though, no need to listen to the radio with 10 CD and 6 MD changers http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif so I always leave the aerial pushed right down http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I have cut away the inside pillar for a length and put a handle on the end of the aerial - that way, when I want to show off - I just lean over and pull the aerial up along the cut-out hence lifting it up outside!!

Looks cool but its dangerous doing it while free-wheeling to save petrol

ps. this is my initiation statement to join the muppets - do I pass???
