i had the excact same problem with mine. Apparently when they are imported to the uk they have a 2 button key then they are fitted with the sigma unit and the key front is swapped by subaru uk to a single button. I bought a new sigma unit and it came with the little blue fob and also came with instructions to program any key to it so i programd a single button key to it. Pretty easy. I then found out later that alyn at as performance knows how to sort them without buyin another alarm unit

Changing your PIN:
- Arm and then Disarm the system using a working Radio Key.
- Within 30 seconds of disarming, type into the keypad: *17856*92*wxyz*wxyz# (where wxyz is your new PIN code)
- Arm the system with the Radio Key
- You should now be able to disarm the system using the new PIN code

Not my work. copied from an old post.
