Changing rear disc. How

Are they easy to do like the front or is there more involment

davedipster 26 March 2013 11:02 PM

Easy, but you may need to wind back the shoe adjuster on the backplate.

yeah. cant remember but is the wheel bearings sat into the rear disks. dont want to bugger them getting them out if they are

madscoob 27 March 2013 02:05 PM

classic just jack up remove wheels , undo calipers , release handbrake. 2x8mm thread bolts in holes to wind disc off the hub , remove disc and reverse easy :thumb:

mines a 2003 blob done the fronts before as there easy. whats the bearings like for doing. just tap them out and tap back in with a socket

You don't touch the bearings to change discs on a Subaru :)

mikescooby 27 March 2013 02:57 PM

dont you. i had a new bearing on the rear 2 years ago and for some reason im thinking that was part of the brake disc. i will have a look and save me £60

Paulo P 27 March 2013 04:00 PM

The bearings are in the hub so you just fit the discs :)
