If you need a new sensor I would try importcarparts.co.uk I've found them cheaper than dealer prices and quick delivery. Jon

Hi Steve
as above Importcarparts is best place to buy new, they're cost around £85 But you can have look on those too http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/part...Key=22056AA091 http://www.camskill.co.uk/m10b0s2725...B_STi_02_to_06 http://www.worldcarparts.co.uk/Store...2/Default.aspx Just please check which one you will need,on yours STI(on on all STi) are two camshaft sensors Or try clean the sensor, sometimes this helps,if not you will need replace sensor Jura |
Thanks for your replies Jon and Jura, much appreciated. Steve.

As I said, my diagnostic reader came up with fault code PO 365, camshaft position sensor B , circuit bank 1. I fitted a new one today to the rear of the drivers side cylinder head and the engine management light is still on even after erasing the code. Am I right in thinking that there are 3 cam sensors, one under the oil filler cap and the other 2 at the back of each cylinder head? Can anyone help? Thanks Steve.

Anyone had this problem? Steve.

Yes I'm getting p0365 on my jdm as well, sometimes it takes a while to start, it fires and then continues to crank, car is off the road at the moment having my parts fitted but I noticed it does it more in the cold than the warmer weather, and when I do get the management light it resets the advance multiplier back to 8 on my ecutek monitor, I noticed the management light flicks on high in the rev range If having a bit of a spirited drive

To update this, I fitted a new front sensor today ( the one directly under the oil filler cap) but still the management light was on. I noticed that the multipug near the turbo had water in it so I sprayed WD 40 into it and the light has now gone out. The rain gets into the engine bay much easier since I had a front mount fitted, so I will have to protect the plug better. Steve:thumb:.

Just like to say thanks to Mick (merlin24) for his help. Steve:thumb:.

the cam or crank sensor are not on the rear of the engine at all, they are both visible from the front of the car.

The newage JDM have a sensor on the rear of both cylinder heads for the AVCS variable cam timing. Steve.
