Changing ARBs and Drop Links

Hi All, just wondering whether I need my suspension to be "under load" when changing drop links and ARB's (both front/back on a Blobeye Widetrack).

I've got access to a trolley jack and axle stands, but no ramps!

Also, while I'm typing this - any guides out there for doing this job?

Get the complete end (front or rear) off the ground and on stands so both wheels are in full droop.

Then as you fit it youll probably find the bolt holes are slightly out due to the tolerance stack of all the suspension components together and you cant get them started. Using a jack under the hub you can gently adjust whichever corners lowest to get the blots started!
Unlike some cars (usuially sh1tty little euro boxes) you can tighten everything before dropping instead of having to torque stuff at ride height.

The bushes should have come with grease .... use liberally!

its easy once you get into it! enjoy! :-)

Thanks Legacy, nice to know I can tackle this on stands.

I've read about needing to drop the subframe to change the fronts. Is that as scary as it sounds?

You wont need to touch the subframe! But it does make things alot easyer to drop the subframe plate which goes over the rack and AR bar ..... you can see it here, the wee plate with 4 bolts on the right of the pic.
