Essex Takeover 2013 - 4th May - 8pm

The event organizer contacted me a while ago asking if i could muster up some of the ESOC to attend this event.

There will be a SCOOBY Vs EVO , Where scoobys will be parked 1 side and EVO's on the opposite side , and drift & Stanced (steve Bloomfield) will be taking photos of the line ups :)

Yeah Yeah before you go ahead and post it :Whatever_

Chav written all over it

1. Yes you do get a few of chav / chavvets going in there pimped punto's / Saxo's ! But hey you've gotta have a laugh at something eh :lol1:

2. BUT you do get some quality Jap / American muscle / Old skool ford rides turning up to these events also ! And the quality metal always outweighs the chavvy metal hands down :D

3. Plus you get to take some pics of your car with promo girls sprawled all over your pride and joy :norty: How can you argue about that :D

Unless you bat for the other team :Suspiciou

This is a proper old type of car meet, max powwwer, boy racer, essex boyz, call it what you will. One that would have been laughed at by the ESC previous regime :).

I've always enjoyed these nights as some nice and £€$ cars turn up but they are also chaos. The police crack down on them like a cheap hore house in Chelsea, following the FB for updates on where to drive to next, last time they used a walkytalky app with a password needed to access the information of the different location points. I just found it too stressful worrying about some tit in a Fiesta Zetec-S hit my Impreza...

If it supports Scoobs against Evos I'm in..

:DI have nothing to say.SJ.

To old for all that now,but it was part of my early 20's though but those where different times then racing down crystal palace parade and going to the battersea cruise in the park and then heading down to the roundabout to see others trying to show boat and lose it and smash there cars up.the more you start to spend on your cars the more respect you have for them knowing that if something goes wrong, showing off with big power it's all over.SJ.

ron_uk2000 19 March 2013 02:00 PM

LOL with all the comments :D

Right just to clear a few things up .......

Usually at these events .. The 1st part of the night is purely park up and show !

The only reason that location is being kept hush is to stop the police blocking entrance to the car parking area and moving ppl on !

YES you do get the 2nd part of the night , where a location is given via some iphone app or something similar, to meet up at, usually some industrial estate , for burnouts , drifting , etc :Whatever_ Then you are on the alert to evade the police NYPD style, looking for 3rd / 4th locations

Personally , i have never taken part in any of that , and wouldn't want to put my pride and joy in that sort of danger with some muppet thinking his some drift expert driving dangerously ! Never been my scene and i'm not advertising that part of the event on here either !

95% of the time the behavior of ppl is respectful ! Yes once police know where it is , they really can't do much with moving all those ppl on out of the car park ! They just show up, and make there presence felt with driving around and keeping a eye on the events of the night , So everyone is on there best behavior at the car park :thumb:

It's usually late at night when the chavs start coming out to play , and they start showing up about 10pm as they are looking for the 2nd location antics !!!! .... But as said , it's funny to point and laugh :D as these BOYS :lol1:

The organizer of the event states ... " do not condone or except irresponsible driving or behavior! "

Alot of respected car clubs from around the Essex , Anglia , Kent, and Hertfordshire areas are attending this event ! This is going to be one of Essex's biggest car meets !!

Lol mate I think we all did it. I used to tear around in my nova every weekend . From arena Essex to Southend, to Basildon to Chelmsford. The best bit though, was I'd only use a quarter of a tank of petrol and that was about 5 quid lol. No chance doing that now.

stonejedi 19 March 2013 02:51 PM

The good old days when OPTIMAX was cheap:).SJ.

Indeed.

If someone even thought about sprawling themselves over my car, tits, ass I don't care who it was... They would be beaten to death with their own torn off limbs.

Bean1984 20 March 2013 02:09 AM

Ill see if i can get the night off work. Been interesting to get the bugeye out for its 1st big meet

DantheMan2605 20 March 2013 08:49 AM

Lorraine ... You are the exception, otherwise i would be worried :p :lol1:

Dan ... Now i am worried :Suspiciou :p

Just to note ... These girls always ask if you would like a photo or not.

And they do always ask if it's ok to touch , lay, sit , knees on bonnet, etc

They are fully aware that us enthusiast are very passionate about who or what touches our cars :thumb:

I do indeed...

Trouble is finding a girl who is interested in scoobys and not just chucking some hot pants on and jumping all over one!!!

Never mind I shall await in the background for one to come along. Even better if she has her own one, she can jump all over that and have as many photos taken as she wishes:lol1:
