MY06 Litchfield Spec C Type 20

48 Attachment(s)
MY06 Litchfield Spec C Type 20 in World Rally Blue metallic.

An opportunity to own a very rare and highly regarded vehicle. A very useable power/torque band, makes this a perfect point to point car.

One fastidious owner from new, this car has wanted for nothing. Always correctly warmed and cooled down and treated with complete sympathy by a mature owner. Never ever used in salt/winter conditions and very rarely in the rain, this vehicle’s condition is exception, inside, outside and underneath. No trackday use. It has only been run on Shell Optimax or V-Power and I have every fuel receipt to prove this. Only ever washed carefully using the two bucket method and using Blackfire detailing products.

Only 29,888 miles from new, never damaged or repaired, it is as straight as the day it rolled off the line. It has a full service history, always using high end Motul oil, mostly done by RCM, but also Powerstation/Litchfield. MOT till 8th March 2014

Supplied new by Iain Litchfield of Litchfield Imports on 24th January 2006, it also benefits from the cheaper £270 per year tax (£148.50 for 6 months). Iain will confirm the condition of the vehicle (01684 850 999) and that he only made between 16 – 20 of these very limited editions.

Olly and Matt Clark of Roger Clark Motorsport will also attest to the stunning condition of this vehicle. In fact Olly Clark drove it and fine tuned the suspension settings of the AST’s whilst I was attending a photo shoot for the cover of the first ever issue of Total Impreza. Please feel free to call them on 01455 610 728, to confirm the above.

Most people on here know what the vehicle is, but for the uninitiated, here’s an account of what’s what.

The MY06/MY07 JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) STi has several improvements over the UK/Euro version including:

• JDM is 2.0ltr UK/Europe is 2.5ltr
• Twin scroll turbo
• Nitride coated, cross drilled crank
• 13:1 STi quick rack
• Slightly larger intercooler design
• Auto and manual intercooler spray (UK get manual activation only)
• More aggressive inlet cams
• Equal length headers
• Electric folding wing mirrors
• 235 width tyres (UK get 225)
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th same as UK, 5th and 6th are shorter
• Front STi titanium strut brace
• 8,000rpm redline

Spec C

The MY06 Spec C is approx 90Kg lighter than the standard STi due to the following changes:

• Rear wash wipe **deleted**
• Privacy glass **deleted**
• Deadlocks **deleted**
• Boot trim and carpet **deleted**
• Passenger sun visor **deleted**
• Grab handles **deleted**
• Ski hatch **deleted**
• Glove box light **deleted**
• Isofix child seat fixing point **deleted**
• Underseal **deleted**
• Sound deadening **deleted**
• Map lights **deleted**
• Speakers in rear doors **deleted**
• Centre diagonal inertia seatbelt **deleted**
• Side airbags **deleted**
• HID headlights **deleted**

However, the Spec C has the following changes over and above even the JDM STi:

• Thinner lightweight glass
• Lightweight roof
• Aluminium boot lid
• 12 litre intercooler spray bottle mounted behind the rear seats
• Different radiator and water pump
• Engine & transmission oil coolers
• Roller bearing version of the twin scroll turbo
• Rear strut brace
• Lightweight front subframe
• Performance revolving chamber fuel pump (anti surge)
• Black seats, door panels and carpet
• Stiffer chassis with revised welding
• Larger intake pipe
• Roof vent
• Smaller 50 litre fuel tank
• Smaller lightweight battery

Litchfield Type 20

The Spec C can then be modified by Litchfield Imports to become a Type 20. Apparently they did between 16-20 of these.

• 3" Miltek exhaust system with sports cat
• Ecutek ECU remap
• 3 port boost control solenoid
• K & N panel air filter
• Type 20/25 AST 12 way adjustable coilover suspension
• Type 20/25 handling pack
• STi front lip spoiler with optional lower rubber skirt
• Type 20 floor mats
• Type 20 badges
• 360bhp/350ft lb torque

In addition to the above spec, this car also benefits from some sensible upgrades and mods.

• Prodrive GC05F 8 x 18” forged alloy wheels in unmarked condition. Very strong, very light and easy to clean. These are manufactured by Rays for Prodrive complete with Subaru locking wheel nuts
• Dunlop SP Sport 600 245/40-18 tyres. 1200 miles from new (These are classed as an extreme summer performance tyre as per the original Bridgestone RE070 tyres)
• Performance Friction front brake discs and rotors. Performance Friction front and rear pads
• Goodridge brake hoses fitted front and rear with Motul fluid
• Defi BF in amber gauges, comprising of oil temperature, oil pressure and turbo boost. High quality pod, colour matched and sprayed at bodyshop to match dash colour
• PSI3 ECU Data Monitor
• Alpine digital receiver with iPod and USB connection, Alpine Bluetooth telephone unit with separate microphone and music streaming
• Alpine upgraded door speakers (standard size original replacements)
• New Type 20 floor mats, with correct updated logo
• Genuine STi aluminium door sill protectors
• Momo alloy/leather gear knob
• RCM cool panel guide for radiator
• RCM alloy oil filler cap
• STi radiator cap
• Cobra Cat 1 alarm
• RAC Trackstar
• Original unmarked gold STi alloy wheels with 235/45-17Bridgestone RE070. (Down on tread but still legal I believe)

Private plate not included.

Price £17,495

Agree, someone will get a very good car for that money.
A very well maintained example.

Good luck and hope you get someone who realises what it is.
