Just been upgraded.... !!

Just had the Virgin blokes out and had my Broadband upgraded to 60mb from the 20mb it was........ coo - it 'ain't arf fast now!

Laptop in the living room running at 40+mb, hard wired it and it was near enough 60mb, so it's losing a bit on the wifi link but at those speeds - don't really matter.........

Then set up my PC in the spare bedroom to access the new router and that's running at 38mb, where I was only getting 5-10 as the norm (it's a fair bit away from the router, hence the slower speeds)... at some point I might see if I can get a long enough cable to hard wire it and see if that ups to the 60mb.. but not too fussed atm....

No extra cost either!

Well 'appy!

Get a set of homeplugs instead of running a cat 5 cable up. Cost you 30 quid or so and can be used anywhere round the house practically.

I was on 30mb and they gave me a free upgrade to 60mb but if you ring them and say you want to go back down to 30mb you will get a reduction on your bill...
