sexist advert....?

or is it just me

The advert where a table of old women watch a young chap getting changed on a beach under a towel, then send a dog to pinch his towel at the right moment. So we see him bare arsed in front of the old women as they take a photo...

Now I'm assuming that it would be fine the other way around. A group of old blokes watching a young girl getting changed. Then for us to see her stood there bare arsed and naked in front of them whilst they took a photo....

Or would this be wrong and if so why.....

You're right, it should be the same equally, but it never will be. When a man is used in such a when its "just a cheeky advert, no harm". When it's a woman, it's "Disgusting and pornographic and unacceptable, not to mention degrading to women!":Whatever_

It's Ye Olde Double Standards again :thumb:

And yet women died for equal rights! Email e company doing the advert and ask if they will do a woman version to keep things fair

Is it the same old woman in this advert?

Moz_Rb5 07 March 2013 09:13 AM

I'd let her fart in my mouth to be that bull

If you really think it's wrong, keep an eye on the adverts and let me know if you spot ANY that take the p*ss out of women, make them look stupid, etc etc.

Then spend an evening listing those that do the same with men.....

The worse example is the bread advert with the schoolgirl in the little short skirt and pull up socks to the thigh. Totally inappropriate.

My two faves at the moment both feature little kids, the Allinson one with the little boy insisting to his teenaged sister that it's ALLISON, (my eldest used to insist that MFI was really BRM....), and the one with the little girl and the baby sat on the floor, where she says she wants to change the baby...for a puppy. And he stops and looks at her, then says, "NO!"

Kids, eh?

Well I can't see any spelling mistakes so what's up with you now soft lad?:Suspiciou

TelBoy 09 March 2013 09:01 AM

Me the soft lad? You can't take an advert in the spirit it's intended and i'm the soft lad (whatever the fcuk that means in Lancashire of course). It just amazes me that people get offended by this sort of stuff. Thank God i don't know any personally.

Depends if you have a teenage daughter I suppose.

^^ Fiiiiiiit!!!!

Women only want equal rights when it suits them!!! I've been a soldier for 8 years now, and trust me on this, female soldiers are all too quick to want to be treated equally to their male counterparts, but when it comes to things like fitness tests, where women get longer times, less weight to carry etc, they don't complain about it being easier!!! Yet if it were to change so women had to reach 'the SAME' standards as men, they'd throw up a right stink.

Such has it ever been, mate, such has it ever been.
