oh yes, this was in the early days, before the STi 5 spoiler went on.

never saw or heard of the car since the day it went. Doubt it's still in once piece now, they guy who bought it rang me the day after to say he nearly lost the back end on a slip road onto a motorway!! lol

salsa-king 24 February 2013 10:29 PM

and at the time of selling...

I loved how the door protection strips looked on the car.. shame the hatch hasn't got them.

v5 man 24 February 2013 11:03 PM

That photo with the neons is how I remember it Phil :D I can't remember why I never bought yours but I did end up with a red one at some point after that :)

Paulo P 24 February 2013 11:25 PM

Good to see so many of the old faces are still around :) I don't know why you didn't buy that Cliff, I know you like your neons :D

Midlife...... 24 February 2013 11:29 PM

Blimey, I remember John doing his first oil change mileage in a couple of days up scotland way, Pete Croney and Scoobysport and John Banks having problems drilling out the restrictor pill :)

Happy days :)

Shaun

That pic is always in my mind whenever I see the salsa king username, chav ;)

Mind you, I did put lexus rear lights on my 1st Impreza about 11 years ago! What a donut. But to be fair they didn't stay on long and I actually ended up swapping them for a set of oe sti lights and £50 my way! :lol1:

Wow another old timer signing in nearly 13 years for me also
And still got the Greenwagon
Sure it's cleaner then when I first got it
Amazing how the scene has revolved over the years
Bug eye haters
Old fashioned classics
Blob eyes ,hawk eyes
Then the new hatch came and the hatch haters who are slowly warming to them now
The we have all the Subaru 2.5 engines with chocolate pistons blowing up
The decline of sales
Car tax going through the roof
Petrol costs crippling the one owners
The chavs joining us with all their new breed of mods
Txt talk a new sort of language that the new owners bring to us
Penny pinching
Roof Vents
Neons
Funny rear lights
Dump valves
We have had it all in the last 13 years
Soon there will just be a few of us left
Desperately trying to stop the cars rusting and looking for parts to make them faster ,handle better and look smarter

Roll on the next 13 years
Who will still be with us then

1172 miles in 27 hours through a blizzard. Still makes me chuckle when i took it to the dealers the next day for it's first oil service.
