Very Impressive Driving

found this on youtube - some of you might have come across it already but good driving skills (although sometimes wreckless through traffic)

Huntyuk 15 February 2013 01:53 PM

ps the "near crash" is from 7:40 onwards

VitruvianJ 15 February 2013 02:05 PM

I've seen this a couple of times, this guy is pretty fast!

romford-boy 15 February 2013 02:29 PM

Jeeez, how does that "only" have 365bhp......the way it drops everything it must have more power than that?!?!?

A well mapped car with 365bhp is a pretty fearsome track weapon especially if it is well shod and damped too.

The guy prob knows the track inside out and pushes his fear aside more than others ;)

Huntyuk 15 February 2013 02:51 PM

his reply to one of the users on Youtube was:

BTTC engineer, moved wishbones, bespoke ARB's,spherical bearings, and loads of other stuff

i dont think hes lying when he says "plus loads of other stuff"

haha

trails 15 February 2013 03:19 PM

isn't this the guy with the really terrible steering technique?

Is it you then?! :D

trails 15 February 2013 04:39 PM

Just watched the first minute or so...yes it is the vid I thought it was, im sure there were loads of negative comments when it was first uploaded.

Huntyuk 15 February 2013 04:56 PM

hahaha no its not me ;) - i think the negative feedback would be the way he just rags it through the traffic haha - careless at its finest lol

ditchmyster 15 February 2013 05:05 PM

Yep, p!ss poor technique, hands too high, and all over the wheel, one hand at 12 o'clock, shuffling hands on the wheel, if he gets in a mess one day he will have to let go of the wheel to correct.:nono:

His speed is ok, but comes more from knowing the track than skill.

chopperman 15 February 2013 05:26 PM

Exciting video to watch.Must be annoying when you get stupid little town cars poodling about on the racing line.
The dump valve noise gets a bit tedious in the vid imo.

Truss 15 February 2013 06:03 PM

As said, he is quick but seems a bit erratic.

adamb87 15 February 2013 06:48 PM

this one is from a while ago as well but it is some amazing skill and some massive plumbs even if he is a pro driver

chopperman 15 February 2013 06:58 PM

I like this one. Warning, contains strong language lol.

frayz 15 February 2013 09:38 PM

Anyone else notice how much the body flexes around the cage?
Gussets deffo required.
Quick lap but sh1t steering, it's under steering and he winds on more lock?

ditchmyster 16 February 2013 10:03 PM

Just thought i'd pop this up as an example of a wheel man.; )

cobra_mark 17 February 2013 08:08 AM

Better than James May in. Bentley!

ScoobySteve69 17 February 2013 12:54 PM

I gave up watching the first video after 60 seconds cos the chav valve was too annoying.

young un 17 February 2013 02:46 PM

i watched this straight after wathcing the clip and its enough to put me off going round the ring again

wonder how much all of that damage came to

ScoobySteve69 17 February 2013 03:06 PM

I love it when people run out of `talent` :lol1: LMAO at the bikers :lol1::lol1:

cobra_mark 17 February 2013 04:55 PM

Well I went round the ring last night in my wagon (the closest I could find to it) and then a WRC Blobe eye, was having loads of fun with no cost. GT5 on teh playstation is the way to go, no cost no pain and very realistic. Certainly don't fancy the Nurburg ring for real, too many opportunities to destroy your car. :)

already on gt5 mate along with fud and sha... all getting ready for the ring at the end of may, not that the playstation will help me! lol

cobra_mark 17 February 2013 09:23 PM

We could have an online ring day to see how fast we can eat round, played on line a bit with GT5 but a Scooby forum online race could work :)
