Tdr - Thwaites developments

Guys, been a member on here for years yet never been in this section . Looking for some pointers, insight, opinions on Tdr. Looking at a car that has had a build by them and was hoping to get some feedback from people that have used them, how was the service, what did they do, if they've built an engine for you to what spec, what power, any issues etc.

I'm aware they built the pro-r car just I wanted to hear some more personal views

Any information will be much appreciated

Steve

They're top dudes. I've been there a few times and will go again and it's over a hundred mile round trip for me!!

They give sound advice, good service and no BS. :thumb:

Steve
You don't have any problems there at all. They are top blokes I'd trust them 100% with my car. Mark is very helpful and def knows what he is doing. I wouldn't worry about an engine they built at all. I was going to send mine there to sort the engine but then I sold it and you know the rest. ( I think I know the car your looking at and it's very nice you won't go wrong with that:))
Kev.

I'd be up for that although as I'm away with work I'm not getting it until the end of the month and then I will need to do the boring 1000 running in so I'm guessing its a few weeks away yet but when it is I will let you know :)

Silly question may be but who maps for tdr? Or do they do it in house

Hammer man 18 February 2013 07:14 PM

Mark does the classics himself. He used to use Mr Carr for newage, but he may do them himself now too.

stevie1982 18 February 2013 07:18 PM

Would be a 2011 sti mate

Hammer man 18 February 2013 07:22 PM

I wouldn't know on a 2011....sorry. I'm sure someone will know the answer.

chris_wrx 18 February 2013 07:26 PM

mark maps all his own cars and has now for at least 2 years and has had is own dyno for the last 12 months i think

BigZee87 23 February 2013 07:13 PM

cannot recomend them enough, top lads, know what they are doing :thumb:

CREWJ 23 February 2013 09:59 PM

I've been using them for years and they never let me down. Mark is a top bloke.

sssssteeeee 23 February 2013 10:40 PM

there good i have parted with some money with tdr and found there work is good, not had to go back for any reasons other than a map tweak. they fitted my alcatek and vf34 and many other bits. im about to ask mark to do belt and possibly a stage 2 clutch fitment. mark and ryan are good chaps. even though mark does electronic fags. :luxhello:

Stu1300 24 February 2013 05:47 PM

Agree with every one so far I wouldn't hesitate to go back again, cam belt due soon and it will be tdr doing it

zedy 10 March 2013 02:30 PM

on a scale of 1-10,,,,,, its 10 everytime for me, really know their stuff and put your mind at rest, they specialise in imprezas but people give mark their ferraris for work,, exceptional vehicle engineer

b4rk3r 11 March 2013 12:58 AM

Mark built my engine for me.. very good price, top service and very quick turnaround.
Top bloke

stevie1982 11 March 2013 01:45 AM

Well picked the car up from cross Roads and I'm very happy with it. Although it's a long story I'm not 100% on the full spec and build of the car, soon to be confirmed but thought I would pop a quick pic as some of you may know it.

Will update when the spec is confirmed and the garage floor of parts have been fitted

Cheers

Stu1300 11 March 2013 08:40 AM

Beautifull

stevie1982 11 March 2013 03:39 PM

Cheers stu, parts arriving on a daily basis now so weather depending it will be a busy weekend ;-) for now it's all exterior mods and then for the inside. This importing parts gets expensive!
