From the A34/A500 roundabout at Hanford, four new Gatso's between there and Tescos in Trent Vale.

Impressively, two cover outside a school, two are further up in the 30 limit. Changed from having dayglo stripes on the back to the camera heads being painted all yellow.

Also, the camera outside the City General / Pinkstones Toyota has moved from the central reservation to the left side of the road as you continue into 'Castle.

Somebody was busy yesterday...

I noticed them yesterday, they would be better of spending police time removing the scummy bloke who followed me through castle when i was on my own at dusk insulting me cause i wouldnt stop to give him money for a bottle of white lightening :(

Police resourcing does my head in, remember don't we have the worst police force in Britain??

Waste of time I say, what is the point?

Do they solve the crimes that matter like muggins, burglaries etc, etc? No, they fecking well waste time on catching speeding motorists!!!!

Cop out that is what the police force should have as a moto

:( Mrs Flap. Hope you are okay now. :)

Two more cameras went up Friday. One is approx 100 metres from Hanford roundabout heading towards 'Castle on the A34 outside the shops (Riverside Chippy etc)

The other is as you leave Newcastle and is outside Fitness First before the 1st set of traffic lights near Tescos, just inside the change from 40 to 30MPH.

There was an article in the Sentinel about these cameras last week. Some old dear saying they are needed cos she can't cross the road. Use the bloody pedestrian crossings then you old bat! Grrrrr!

As a side note, anyone seen any manned speed traps around here of late? Used to be a Plod fave to stand in the central reserveration of the A500 on Hanford fly over and ping you as come under the A50 junction. I haven't seen any 'manual' traps for months now.
