Laptop connectors
So I had to fix one of my laptops today and when stripping it down I broke one of the connectors inside it. Its the standard type small white connector that accepts two cables. The cables inside are crimped down.
All I need is another connector and a tool to crimp the damn thing. Only I have no idea what its called or where to get the crimp tool from. Anyone have any ideas? |
The closest connector I can find so far that looks like the one I need is the top one in this image:

You're more or less wasting your time, unless you:
1. Post up a good picture of the original connector, and 2. Take an accurate measurement of the gap between the pins or holes (from left-side of one to left-side of the other). Sort that out, and I can post you a link to a new one, or if I'm feeling bored enough at the weekend, de-solder one off an old motherboard for you and stick it in the post. |
Hi Thanks for the offer. I will have a look tomorrow and post up a couple of pics.
