Interior side air vents

Hi to all,
I have a 2005 wrx, I'm in the middle of wrapping the interior in blue leather. My question is how do I remove the 2 side air vents either end of the dash board?
Any ideas??

Jay

The triangle shaped ones on the top of the dash pop out and the round ones are screwed into the inside of the dash.

It's the round ones with the directional vents. How do you get to the screws?

I would say you need to take the dash off. There are three screws holding it in place and would be pretty hard if not impossible to get to them without removing the dash. I had to Swap mine over when I fitted my flocked dash.

No worries. There will be a few threads on here how to do it. It looks daunting but is actually only around 8 bolts. I had my old in out and the flocked one in, in just under two and a half hours and was the first time I did it.

Good luck mate and make sure you put pics up when it's done.

Martin I've just read some posts regarding the vents and I only need to remove the front trims from the vents do you no if they just pop off

Yeah they do, use a flat screwdriver and gently pop them out. There is a clip on the left and right of the surround. The clips do normally break though so be careful.

Cheers again mate, I'll get tools in hand n crack on. I'll post photos when done
