Hi guys, does anyone have a link or a 'how to' on doing a fluid change on a early classic automatic transmission?
I've had a good search around on this site and cannot find anything?? Cheers :thumb: |

Thanks for that :thumb:
That says I need 15litres of fluid? But you'll probably have a good few litres, retained in the torque convertor. So you will use less. |

Yes there is filter,I would recommend use only OE filter, friend used non genuine and he killed the box
Part number for ATF filter is 38325AA032 http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/part...var=0&dc=&gen= Jura |
Classics - post '97, version 2 box, external (as Jura's link) and internal filter.
Pre '97, version 1 box (black and green ecu connectors under dash), internal filter only. |
cheers guys,
the car is a 94 wrx so guessing it only has the internal filter then? is there a way of cleaning internal one? or is it just a mesh that you don't bother cleaning? |

Same as Subaru SVX transmission filter 31728AA011 Cheers, is this something that has to be changed or is it not really necessary? Searching the part number on google only shows suppliers in the sates so guessing it is not something that is commonly sold in the uk.?? :thumb: |
If I were you i'd be using only the genuine subaru ATF oil. spurious oils have been known to play havoc with the shift change
