Saw a P1 stopped in the hard shoulder as I cruised past going the other way...

I think it's the first Scoob I've seen broken down - maybe a puncture or something?

doh! a P1 as well :(

Yep, that was my mum

puncture indeed, scoobs dont break down any other way! had to take the fiesta up to change the wheel but we had a spare alloy so thank god we didnt have to put the space saver on coz we would have had to change the back wheel too as the space savers dont fit over the AP's!!

dont worry its sorted now!

Mrs MartinM here....

It was me. Thank goodness my little boy is now old enough to drive and able to help me out...especially as there was no wheel wrench with the jack. Luckily the one from the Fiesta fitted.

Is it just missing on our car or are they kept somewhere secret?

There is a suspicion that the tyre was actually faulty as the internal construction has completely failed at the (internal) join/corner of the sidewall and the tread...far more damage than would be expected from running a few yards with it flat. The tyre's on its way back to Pirelli, courtesy of Tileys (thanks :)), so we'll see what they say...

Did the wheel get damaged as well?

I think if my car, with 45 profile tyres, ever had a puncture the wheel would be wrecked! It's bad enough just tapping the kerb.

Wheel was untouched - thank goodness. Just £116 for a new tyre :(
