Bugeye Headlight Female Plug?
 

So I had this constant dimming of the passenger side headlight?
I thought it was the bulb so I upgraded to Xenons...but when I finally managed to pull the connector off the old bulb, it ripped 2 of the bulb pins off with it...it seemed clogged up with black crap...(once I'd got the pins out)
I think it may have melted slightly...I scraped it out best I could then put the xenon in it...turned it all on and nothing...so, checked the 15A fuse and it was blown.
Changes it and everthing worked....for a bit..lol.

So it dimmed again?

Changed the fuse today..(as it was blown again) and it blew 3 fuses.....everytime I turned on the lights it blew again.

So, I'm thinking I need a new plug on it but where do I get it from?

Found links on US forums but I need it in the uk...ha.

So, any ideas?
I don't wanna change the whole loom, just thinking of splicing a new one on?

Seen some talk of upgrades plugs that don't melt as easily?

First off, you need to know WHY it melted. They don't under normal conditions.

Possible reasons:

Higher wattage bulbs in use?
Bad connection/corroded/loose.
Corrosion down the wire.

This last isn't as daft as you might think. Our Xantia had a badly corroded wire from battery to starter. it LOOKED fine.
Once, in use, it got so hot it melted the solder in the battery connector. This, in turn, dripped onto the battery, and melted it's way into a cell. Result: needed new battery and £80 of work to replace the wiring.
