Washing Classic seats - please help.
 

So,

I have managed to get myself free seats for my sport. The came off UK Turbo and they look just like those:

They were outside for a while and they god stained in all sorts of grime so I wanted to clean them. I have been adviced to take covers off (you know the cloth bit) and just wash them in a washing mashine. It was fairly easy and washed allright but the cloth was stuck to the front of the seats via thin layer of softer foam and I had to pull that apart to actually take them off, so now when it's all back on they are a bit baggy, as in the cloth isn't tight on seats anymore. It looks a bit ****, like there would be a poundland car seat covers on.

Is there any way to stuck them back on? Is there some sort of special glue (spray possibly) to make them stuck back on? Or maybe they will get better after they will be used again?

Any Ideas?

Sorry to tell you, but the advice you were given was poor. There is no way to undo the damage you have done, unless you employ an upholsterer:(

You would have been better to have asked on here first, we would have told you to take the seats to a decent valeter.

Oh... That's what I thought :(

I will try to find a way to fix that and if I do I will let you know. Apparently there's some sort of fabric glue in spray, I will give that a go and let you all know :)

Nah, I spent too much on parts this month mate, plus those were free and I'm determined to get them sorted! :) Plus they don't look ridiculously bad as they are now, but obviously I want them looking as new :)

If that's the case than yea of course I would go for another set :)

But I don' think so, the fabric glue I was thinking of is like a temporary thing, it tacks for about 30-45 seconds to give you time to stitch fabric together and than it washes off completely. It's no good then. But I think some sort of bog standard 3M crafting glue spray would be more than enough for the job... as long as it doesn't dissolve the foam.

Evo stick use to do some contact adhesive called Time Bond which would give you 10 mins to get things in the correct place before setting like concrete.

But when it set is it flexible enough to be sat on comfortably? I think some of this stuff could dissolve the foam too.

Hmmm not sure mate.

VERY dicey....you need something that will stick cloth to foam, won't dissolve the foam and won't come through the cloth at all.
