okay, so i know what DAB is (shock horror) but whilst looking at some cool (well i think so anyway) head units, some of them have DAB Control...
confused - does this mean that they are DAB enabled, i.e. they can recieve the digital station thingies? is this just a terminology thing, or is DAB Control totally different from being DAB enabled and listening to the stations etc. thanks! |
DAB control means exactly that - you can add an external unit in the same way that "cd changer control" means you can control an optional cd changer.
There are some units with built in DAB, most notably the Blaupunkt woodstock... |
right, with you - thanks!
is DAB priced pretty hight then? |
dab units are around the 3-400 mark depending on make. Unless you listen to radio constantly, its not worth forking out untill coverage is 100% of the country, prices fall and it becomes more of a standard rather than a luxury. In MHO anyway.

Analogue radio will be a thing of the past before you know it.
