235 tyres on a classic
 
Hi All

Just sum quick help would be much appreciated, would 235.45.17 or even 235.40.17 tyres fit on a classic?? If so would i need to modify anything in anyway??

Any help would be much appreciated many thanks

I think you will need arch extentions at least.

If you drop m44gys a PM he's got them or even bigger on his classic, he should be able to point you in the wright direction.

Cheers mate didnt really wnt to go down the route of using Abw arches due to cost but has anybody had these fitted with archea rolled back??

I had my arches rolled an pulled and got 235/40/17 R888s to fit but the wheels where 7.5x17 ET50

They are for sprinting and drag racing, not road use :)

Banny did u have to use a spacer to get room away from the suspension leg? If so whay size space you fitted? Cheers

Arch is heated up and a roller is used to flare it out to give you extra clearence

Nope no spacer used cleared everything fine :thumb:

Call me silly but where would i find "ET" on the alloys??

ET is the offset of the wheel, standard offset for a subaru is ET48. So these wheels sit 2mm further in than standard at ET50

Banny, how much did it cost to get the rears rolled as I need to get mine done so I can fit some 265mm tyres under :)
