Subaru Impreza 22B STi #377
 

Here for sale is my pride and joy 22B STi #377/400.

The car has done 61,000 miles, has 3 former keepers and is in excellent all round condition. It was one of the first 22B STi imports and was first registered in the UK in October 1998.

The car was just a rolling shell when I bought it in 2006 and since it was rebuilt, it has been serviced and maintained no matter what the cost and ran with the best oils and fuel. All my servicing has been done by a local Subaru main dealer and for the last 4 years by DMS in Welshpool (Davies Motorsport Services/Andy Davies is a rally specialist and worked as a member of Prodrive's SWRT).

It has the usual Impreza front end stone chips and the odd scratch/paint imperfection here and there but nothing to massively grumble about. The interior is in excellent condition apart from the door handles which the vinyl has perished/cracked on and a small bit of ruffing of the drivers side lumbar support.

This car has been part of many car clubs in my ownership and has done many shows. I always have people comment on how clean and tidy the car is. This 22B has featured in two magazine features, Issue 95 of Japanese Performance Magazine and Total Impreza Magazine.

The cars spec is probably it's main feature and boasting a 450 BHP spec (not confirmed by dyno) it is one very fast Impreza indeed and if not one of the quickest 22B's on the planet!

The car has been serviced & MOT'd (December 2012) and is ready for any viewing.

I am looking for £22,000 ONO for my car. This price reflects the value of the car and the level of spec this car has which (including the engine build) I have £20,000 of receipts for. Break a 22b ? Surely its a car thats desired by many that have the money,wish i had the reddies mate as would love to just be a pasenger in one let alone own one.glwts mate.

Too nice to break BUT if you do end up breaking it, give me a shout on the complete shell.

The previous owner turned the car into a road going rocket after blowing up the original engine. When he came to sell he wanted back a good chunk of what he spent and the only way he could recoup his money was the sell the chassis separate to the engine, drivetrain and ancillaries. I bought the complete shell and a spares package to get the car back together off him for £18K in 2006. I spent close to £20K getting the car built into the car it is today.

Also just to clarify... When I say 'break' the 22B, I mean remove everything 'non standard' and sell as a complete rolling shell, giving someone the opportunity to make what they want of the car. I think I could get £10K for the aftermarket parts and £13K for the rolling chassis, which may be the way to recoup the £22K I am looking for the car.

I will have to see how things go, as I would prefer to sell the car whole.

how on earth would you get 20k worth of bits from this? surely even if somone only offered you half this you would be better off than taking apart? arnt the majority of the 22b bits not that different from a type r

All depends what you want from a car mate. Best time ever for me was when me and the misses went to the McRae Gathering with our car club. As we drove upto Prodrive everyone stood in front of the car taking photos! It was like being a famous person lol! Not sure how many other Impreza's got the same treatment as they pulled up and that's why I love the 22B... ;)

It has 3 former owners from new and these are the original importer and first owner (1998>2000), Adam Messulam (2000>2006) and me (2006>to date).

Mine has had some professional pics taken for Japanese Performance Magazine, but I haven't used these to advertise the car.

I haven't got pics of the engine bay, the car was recently cleaned and polished, so have been meaning to get over to it and take some.

I have a dyno print out before the injectors and intercooler was done and it shows 380 BHP (TMIC temp and injector duty was holding it back). As you can imagine with a 600+ BHP capable LP FMIC, Nismo 740cc injectors and an MD321T running 1.85 Bar on the higher map, logically with a 450 BHP capable turbo running at max the car is well in that region. :cool:

That was my uk 22b with the pro pics this car is a steal at that price get it brought.

I think you could sell the spec c on here quite easily if its aggressively priced to sell!!

Love this car wish you would take part x on my Type R would really like this.

I would prefer a cash sale, but may consider a part ex if it is cheap enough.
