Subaru cutting outs

Hi guys

My version 2 scooby keeps cutting out after about 70 mph I have cleaned the maf sensor and it's pulling mint in every gear until I hit 120 on the clocks in mph however it's got the wrong clocks on so it's really about 70 mph it's just spluttering and it doesn't matter weather I'm in 3rd on the redline of 5th and cruising it still does it sounds like a sensor of some sort to me but just after s e advice.

If its got the wrong clocks the ecu will probably be getting a wrong signal and causing issues, when the cable snaps it wont rev past 3k so sound like an issue with the speedo, id get the correct clocks in there and take it from there.

Might try and un plug the clocks and see what that brings

That will make it worse the car needs a signal from the speedo cluster for the ecu

Sounds like you have the clocks out of an import, they have a 112 mph limiter signal built in iirc.
