Mags there are different sound frequency weights A, C and Z, depending on the meter you have it may show in the wrong weight to what the actual track uses. When I was talking to the guy doing the reading he said that their readers cost in excess of 2k or something stupid so I'm not sure what use a 20-60 quid meter from the likes of maplin would be useful. Brands and Silverstone are a part of msv and offer free sound checks, static and then they will do the drive by with you in the car.
To anyone wondering I would suggest popping along and having a proper reading done. For what it costs in petrol and time could save a lot of money and disappointment on the day im sure the neighbours dont give a **** as 1 they probably moved there after the race tarck knowing the ****er was there lol |
